What we're looking for

  • Taking ownership of Joomla based web development projects in the team
  • Mentoring other developers and working very closely with the project manager
  • Writing specifications and managing bug/issue lists
  • Accurately estimating development tasks and timescales
  • Working to tight schedules, whilst maintaining high standards

NOTE: Before you apply, make sure you send us at least TWO live URL's of complete, commercial web projects you have worked as a key Joomla developer on in the last 6-12 months. Do not apply if you cannot supply these reference links.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced level of PHP& MySQL
  • Installing and configuring WAMP development environments
  • Installing and configuring Joomla; including 3rd party plug-ins
  • At least an intermediate amount of skill in JavaScript development, AJAX, XHTML & CSS

Nice to haves

  • Professional standard AJAX skills
  • Hands on knowledge of frameworks like jQuery
  • Basic level of Photoshop skills (for image processing / optimising / slicing etc) - however, this is not a design role!

  • Obvious passion for web development
  • Outgoing and extroverted; we're looking for somebody who will make themselves heard!
  • Friendly, approachable and willing to help others in the team
  • Self motivated and focused
  • Reliable and trustworthy
