User Experience

User Experience (aka: UX) is the whole philosophy of how end users interact with a product or service. Good user experience practice goes beyond what users believe they want, it involves sketching, wireframing, prototyping and testing paths of how best a product or service will be developed in order to comply with our clients and their end users real needs.

As with any good user-centred approach, we've taken the advice of clients, agencies, practitioners and laypeople to help shape a consistent package of deliverables that complies with the standards set by the digital User Experience industry.

At Zabisco, our user experience team is responsible for delivering user experience diagrams, wireframes and prototypes -depending on each project requirements- to design and development teams so as to make sure usability issues are minimised and the ease of use comes first.

User Experience Diagrams aim to visualise an overview of web site pages functionality. It is a way to provide a half-way relation between what has been identified by Personas & User Journeys and what needs to be delivered in the next steps; Sitemaps, Wireframes, Prototypes.

Wireframes are paper or electronic format representations of pages and screens that focus on navigation, layout and functional elements before investing design time

Prototypes are static (Lo-Fidelity) or interactive (High-Fidelity) mock-up web pages or sites that are used to show a first indication of the look and feel of the final product. We usually develop prototypes using Axure RP, HTML or Flash.

Depending on your project, we'll create deliverables that are suitable to you accompanied with detailed specification documents. Remember that User Experience can apply throughout the product development life-cycle so feel free to give us a call and we can discuss what is best for you and your project.
